I wanted to get in on the holiday season and offer card sets for sale! I also have a few persons interested in having scrapbooks done for their kiddos! Yay!!

Since I last popped my head in here…however, you would be very proud of me!! I've been super busy! All good things too! Photog + Card making biz is really taking off thanks to the support of all my peeps! **Thank you all ever so much! ** I’m still in the process of creating a website for all I do so until then…my blog is my domain!
I have so much to show and tell I think I'll have a post everyday this week! Okay……maybe not everyday, but we'll see. To start, here are a few pics I took of a homie in Harlem. Seriously, she was too easy to snap! Beautiful, bubbly and such a diva! As soon as I started, so did she and we had too much fun!

Well…it sure feels like I am. This unemployment thing is kinda hard folks! I'm on the hunt for corporate jobs EVERYDAY…and barely hear anything back! So here’s the new venture I’m working on in the meantime…PHOTOGRAPHY!!! A natural progression from scrapbooking, no? I mean…we do put a ton of emphasis on the photographs on our layouts. And after taking the photog class with Maggie Holmes, I’ve been in manual mode ever since! Practicing, practicing, practicing!
Well all that camera time turned into rumors….and folks started asking me to take their pic. Really!? Well, okay! And after some playing around…I was getting some great stuff! I’m starting to feel very confident in my ability. I’ve also noticed an untapped, underserved market of people who could really use a photographer to document their lives, comprehend their stories, and not have a package starting @ $1000!
So this past week I did my first full-fledge photo shoot for which I rented a few special lenses. As the Lord would have it, it was a Jewish holiday and so my 1-day rental turned out to be a 4-day rental for the price of one. (Praise God!) My lil bro gave me the fantastic idea to maximize this opportunity and so I turned to Facebook to hit up some folks for a last minute, slightly impromptu photo shoot. The result…some awesome pics of some fantastic friends I rarely get the chance to see!
I am truly astonished by the number of folks who responded to my email and offered their time, talent and beautiful faces for me to begin building my portfolio! I am still in the process of editing all 800+ photos but I wanted to give a snippet of how one shoot with a dear friend went. Take a gander and let me know your thoughts!

It’s been a tough couple of days. So much so that I have completely lost my scrappy mojo! I look online for hours at inspiration then turn around and look at my neat and organized scrap area...and nothing. No energy or enthusiasm to do what I love most. Man that sucks! Oh, well.
I figured before it got any later from its debut on 9.1.09 and on this special and unique 9.9.09 date…I would introduce you all to a new challenge site, Point Black Period. It’s lead by the ever-courageous and truly inspiring Sasha Holloway. And guess what? I’m on the Design Team too…How cool!! My first ever! I’m so honored and hope to make Ms Sasha and my DT girls proud and inspired by my work.

I love that NYC finally has a scrapbook store I can visit to touch and feel (and taste) cool new product! Cuz it's just not the same looking online! If you're ever in New York City, take a trip uptown to 91st Street & Broadway and shop at Portrait Bug!
So far I'm loving Crate Paper's Season line. Gotta get that chipboard!!!
And Basic Grey's Eerie line for Halloween! My FAVORITE holiday!
I'm also looking forward to seeing some October Aternoon stuff. ALWAYS love their ish!

With their new subscribers You Called Dibs program, I was able to purchase my add-ons+ shop items @ 12 noon EST. This month's shop items were the coolest! They had the Storytime Alpha stamps I've been so desperately wanting, new paper punches + and Maya Road's new Mist sprays! Yippee! And as always, SC Exclusive Paper + new journaling cards!
The message board was on fire immediately after everyone got their orders in!! Gotta love all the excitement!
You can consider me one happy girl!! This will soon be at my doorstep!

Studio Calico’s message board. I have been a member of this kit club since October 2008 however just recently began exploring the many ways to enjoy all of what this company has to offer. And can I tell you, its the freaking BEST kit club ever!!! (pardon my language!)
The ladies on the board share tips for sewing on layouts, resolving personal issues and best places to visit around the world. They uncover clues to identify items in the upcoming kit, give recommendations for best inks to use or lens to purchase and congratulate the winners of the Layout of the Month! Everyone is so welcoming, warm and kind and it’s a great place to find support, advice and friendship.
This week, I’ve come across two posts with you tube videos links. The first, a wedding entrance that had me ROFL! I enjoyed watching the spirit of a young couple embarking on their new life together in pure joy. The other touched my heart. I don’t have cable and so watch NO TV. I tend to disdain reality programs but do have a soft spot for a few…one of which is SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. I admire a dancer's ability to control their bodies so precisely and move (what appears) so effortlessly and with so much grace. You know, I used to be one back in the day! But never quite this talented. LOL! This is a dance tribute to women who battle breast cancer.
Warning: it is quite stirring and emotional!
